What is Lifeline's Just Ask?
Just ask is Lifeline's rural mental health information service. It's an Australia-wide service provided by Lifeline South Coast. We provide information and referral for people with mental health problems, and to friends, relatives and others who want to know how to help. We tell callers about relevant local services, as well as books and web sites. We also provide our own self-help information sheets on a range of areas. See "How we can help". Lifeline's Just ask is not a counselling service. Call Lifeline's telephone counselling service on 13 11 14 for 24 hour telephone counselling.

This illness, caused by stresses in your life, distorts your view of the situation and the future, and lies to you that there is no way things can get better. DON'T LET YOURSELF BE FOOLED BY THIS ILLNESS, which can be cured, or will go away itself in many cases. This is an information service for anyone who is having problems, feeling down, sad, etc. Our Suicide Prevention site is also for people suffering from depression. We can provide you with information or contact information for people who can listen and help. Hopefully, if you are reading this, you're just going through a period of normal human unhappiness due to some personal problem or event. The most likely outcome is that you will feel back to your normal self very soon.
